<h6>A new All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Blockchain Technologies <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;"><a style="color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://britishblockchainassociation.org/appg/">has been launched</a></span></span> to advance evidence-based adoption of Blockchain and Web3 Technologies in the United Kingdom.</h6>

<h6>The APPG for Blockchain Technolo<span style="text-decoration: underline;">gi</span><span style="color: #000000;">es is </span><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;"><a style="color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://britishblockchainassociation.org/chair-and-officers/">Chaired by</a></span></span> Natalie Elphicke OBE MP, a finance lawyer and a Member of Parliament for Dover. The Vice Chairs of the Group include Lord McNicol of West Kilbride and Lord Goddard of Stockport. The other Parliamentarians and members from the UK’s House of Commons and House of Lords to lead the group as Officers and Members include Lord Vaizey of Didcot, Rt Hon Alun Cairns MP, Jo Gideon MP, Lord Lucas, and Lisa Cameron MP.</h6>

<h6>The Group aims to explore and debate on a wide-range of Blockchain and Web3<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="color: #000000;"> <a style="color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://britishblockchainassociation.org/working-domains/">related domains</a></span></span>, including: Blockchain Industry growth and Workforce planning, Decentralised Finance (DeFi) and the Cryptoeconomy, Metaverse, NFTs, Smart Contracts and IP Law, Decentralised Autonomous Organisations (DAOs), Tokensing Real-World Assets, Blockchain for Government and Public Services, Blockchain Standards and Frameworks, Blockchain for Enterprise, Business and Startups, Blockchain for Trade, Supply chain and e-Commerce, Intersection of Blockchain and Allied Disciplines (AI, Quantum Computing, IoT et al), supporting UK&#8217;s Blockchain Think-Tanks, Industry Hubs and Research Centres, Blockchain for Sustainability, Net Zero, and Climate mitigation, to name a few.</h6>
<h6>The APPG for blockchain Technologies will inform the narrative and policy debate around Web3 technologies by bringing Parliamentarians and Web3 stakeholders together to explore solutions to emerging challenges around implementation of Blockchain technologies.The APPG will seek to make a strong collective case to make the UK as a Global Centre of Excellence in Blockchain Technologies.</h6>

<h6>The Secretariat for the APPG is British Blockchain Association (The BBA). The APPG will hold regular meetings at Westminster to debate a range of topical issues, and demonstrate their impact on policy and society.</h6>
