Prof Kristi Yuthas has been elected to the Fellowship of The British Blockchain Association. She was officially inducted as a BBA Fellow at the 5th Blockchain International Scientific Conference #ISC2023 in Manchester on 18 March 2023.
Professor Yuthas is a Professor of Management and Information Systems in the School of Business Administration at Portland State University. She is the first recipient of the Swigert Professorship in Information Systems at Portland State University, and also holds the Cameron Professorship in Accounting.
In 2019, Professor Yuthas founded the Business Blockchain Certificate Program. She currently teaches blockchain conceptual and lab courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Her current research focuses on the social, ethical, and economic impacts of blockchain and distributed ledger technologies, as well as organisational and social consequences of information and management systems. She is particularly interested in business solutions for alleviating global poverty and addressing other sustainable development goals. She co-authored the book Measuring and Improving Social Impact and she has published numerous articles on using microfinance and entrepreneurship as agents for social change.
